LIQUI MOLY 21838 ANTI-CRYSTAL TREATMENT ADBLUE is a concentrated, ashless additive specifically designed to protect the Selective Catalytic Reduction ( SCR ) system in diesel engines that use AdBlue (also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid - DEF ). 

Its main purpose is to prevent the formation of urea crystals in the system, which is one of the most common causes of malfunctions and blockages.

✅ Action and Benefits

• Anti-Crystallization: Reduces the formation of deposits and crystals in the AdBlue (urea) tank and injection system, minimizing the risk of malfunctions.

• Improves Atomization: Ensures finer and more effective atomization of the urea solution at the injector, reducing the surface tension of the fluid.

• Return Optimization: Optimizes the return flow of AdBlue to the system, which is crucial to prevent crystallization in the pipes.

• Failure Prevention: Regular use helps avoid costly repairs, such as replacing the AdBlue injector or other parts of the SCR system.

• Improved Cold Performance: It can help lower the freezing point of AdBlue , normally -11.5° , to around -16° , improving operability in low temperatures.

⚙️ Application Method

The additive should be added directly to the vehicle's AdBlue tank , and NEVER to the fuel tank.

• Dosage: Add 0.25% to a 1:400 AdBlue solution.

• Practical Measure:

  • 25 ml is enough for 10 L of AdBlue .

  • 250 ml (the full package) is enough for 100L of AdBlue .

• Timing of Addition: Ideally, add the product after filling the AdBlue tank to ensure effective mixing.

Important: This is a preventative additive. Existing crystallization in the system can, in most cases, only be removed mechanically.
